**GIVEAWAY** Wardrobe Wednesday: My Recent Racing Outfits

** SWAG GIVEAWAY ALERT (read until the end for awesome swag)**

In this wardrobe Wednesday, I am highlighting my most recent racing outfit.
What I loved about this outfit is that it is bright and fun! I usually don't wear bright clothes, so I let myself go crazy when it comes to running gear. I find that the moment I put on a HOT/Bright color it motivates me to run stronger.

What I wore:
Shirt: Nike Legend Women's Training Shirt
Shorts: Adidas Women's Marathon 10 Grete Short (The Adidas shorts are currently on sale for $14)
Socks: RunLove Compression Socks

What I love about the outfit, besides the color coordination and brightness, is that everything stayed in place. As a mommy who is still trying to lose the last bit of baby fat, I find that some running clothes easily ride up. The shirt stays in place nicely, the shorts don't cause chaffing.

One lucky reader will become a owner of a pair of RunLove socks.
HOW TO WIN:
Comment below and tell me how you brighten up your run on such a cold and gloomy day.
That's it! Good luck and one lucky reader will be chosen on 1/28/2012.

Be Inspired, Stay Motivated, Run Strong!

  4. As someone who has run in all kinds of weather: torrential downpours; 100 degree nights; -49 degree frosty days; and everything in between, I can tell you it really is about the mindset. Unless a tornado or hurricane is barreling down, there's no reason you can't go out and run if you've got the right attitude. Sometimes I need coffee to push me out the door, but I do get out there :)

  6. Imagining what it will be like to finish whatever race it is I'm training for usually does it for me.

  7. I put on my bright teal running jacket and some awesome music, and think how much faster I'll run at the Princess when I'm not frozen to the bone and fighting through snow and ice! :-)

  8. I am a teacher in Crntral Florida and a group of us run after school. We usually have to cross at a stoplight and then again on the way back. At times we have to wait for the light to change to cross so one of us usually jumps around and does a little dance at the light. I like to listen to dance music while I run so sometimes I'll belt out a line of a song to the group. We also make comments to a person running ahead of us about how nice their butt looks in those pants! :) it gets us laughing and breaks up the monotony of running the same route every day. We also regularly get honked at and waved to by parents and students who are driving by!

  11. I am training for the Breast Cancer Half Marathon. On all days, but especially the cold and gloomy ones I think of all the people currently going through breast cancer treatments. This gives me inspiration to push through & puts a smile on my face.

  15. Even when I can't be in the bright sunshine you can always wear something bright! It makes my run that much better! I wear my pink road Id band. I got it after I was nearly killed by a truck. It matches most but I don't care because someone may need it ton find out who I am! In this case the brighter the better! PS. Love the outfit!

  16. On my "gloomy day" runs I retreat back into my head and start thinking about upcoming vacations (anywhere sunny and warm) and usually there's a fun song or two playing in my brain. I'm one of the lucky ones who doesn't need to run with an ipod because somehow I keep playlists in my head, and the songs just flow on their own! (I know, it's not far from the definition of crazy...but we all have to be a little crazy to run, right?)

  17. On the cold and gloomy day I put my Pandora app on and run to my favorite Disney songs. Pretty soon I'm flying on a magic carpet with Aladdin & Jasmine or dancing on rooftops with Bert, Mary Poppins & the chimney sweeps. Brightens my run up right away!!
